About TaylorHello! I'm Taylor and I personally manufacture all of the soaps and other cosmetic products on this page.
I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2013 with a B.Sc. in Anthropology and a long list of countries that I had been fortunate enough to knock off of my bucket list. Travelling and outdoor adventure was always attractive to me and was where I spent a significant portion of my late teen's, early 20's. Soaping started as a hobby of mine in 2012 as something to simply keep busy with and try to save a few dollars here and there and I needed a break from the knitting that I was failing miserably with at that time. Economical and yet high quality soap products didn't seem to be easily available. After a few years of testing and hundreds of hours researching and practicing, I decided to start a small business to offer my products to those around me. The bonus was that I can now make products that are more eco-friendly and healthier than those offered in drug stores, naturally smelling like the natural world that I love surrounding myself with. Currently I am still small, vastly creating products for family and friends circles - however you may start seeing me around the city a bit more as I am looking to expand. |

Some Little Commonly Asked Questions That I Get...
Store FrontNo, I don't have a store front, nor am I currently planning on attaining one. Having a store front is one of the biggest reasons that artisan soapers have to drastically increase their prices. In order to provide a reasonable price I have decided to negate this cost. Should an individual wish to "test" or "shop" around then a one on one session can be scheduled with myself. I hope to have youtube videos up of my products shortly to give new customers a better idea of how my products work.

Product TestingI "test" all products on myself, Jason and my family members (specifically my sister). The three of us share quite different tastes as well as different skin types.
My soaps will be listed as vegan friendly where appropriate. Although I do not have a Vegan Certified status, vegan marked products will only contain materials that are certified. I do not agree with animal cosmetic testing and as such all of my ingredients do not come from suppliers who partake in such activities. |
Health Canada & What I Can Offer To ClientsAll of my products have been approved by Health Canada and meet or exceed Canadian cosmetic standards.
Legally, soap and essential oil companies (or any form of cosmetic) may not make any claims to help with issues such as 'healing' from circulatory issues such as rosacea, anti-bacterial properties in products, treatment for pain (including eczema treatments) or anything containing sunscreen. Only drug companies are able to make such claims after extensive testing. Should you see a cosmetic company/manufacturer making such claims, please approach with caution. Should you have a condition that you would like me to make cosmetics specifically for, please note that I can not and will not make any claims into their effectiveness towards that condition. |
